Dhaka, March 29 -- Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh Yousef SY Ramadan has thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Bangladesh government for their support.
Bangladesh national football team played back-to-back matches of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Palestine within the last week and the last one was played on Bangladesh soil Tuesday at Kings Arena where the hosts lost 1-0, reports media.
The match created much hype among Bangladeshi fans as home supporters cheered for the men in red and green with much enthusiasm.
There was significant support for Palestine as well.
Palestinian students who came to Bangladesh for study purposes or people who work here in Bangladesh went to the stadium to support their country.
