Dhaka, April 4 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) student wing, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), has declared its support for the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) students' campaign for a campus free of political influence.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Sagor-Runi Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on Wednesday.
"We respect the BUET students' stance and JCD stands with them in their movement against non-partisan politics on their campus," said Rakibul Islam, the central president of JCD, in a prepared statement.
