Dhaka, March 29 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today gave a state guard of honour to Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck at Sonahat land port in Kurigram.
As part of the King state visit to Bangladesh, Wangchuck visited the Special Economic Zone of Kurigram District and Sonahat Land Port, a press release said.
On his arrival at Sonahat land port, Brigadier General Khondkar Shafiquzzaman, Rangpur Region Commander of BGB, gave floral greetings and warm welcome to Bhutanese King.
During his visit, a smartly turned-out Kurigram Battalion (22 BGB) contingent gave a state guard of honour to the King.
Later, the King signed the VVIP visit card of BGB and distributed sweets among BGB members.
