Dhaka, March 29 -- The elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 apprehended three individuals allegedly involved in a counterfeit currency-making syndicate from Naria upazila in Shariatpur on Thursday.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of a significant quantity of counterfeit currency along with equipment used in the fabrication process.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Arif Bepari (20), son of Ratan Bepari of Charmohon in Naria upazila; Mohammad Zahid (23), son of Ali Ahmed of Char Laulani in the same upazila; and Anik (19), son of Hanif Gazi, also from Char Laulani.
