Dhaka, April 19 -- CHATTOGRAM, Apr 18: The evaluation of three shortlisted foreign firms for a consultant on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway Improvement Project is expected to be completed by June this year, according to officials.

The consultant will oversee the construction of four bypasses and one flyover along the 26-kilometre highway.

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the project proposal last year. It includes building four bypass roads and one flyover at a cost of Tk 85.56 billion.

A feasibility study recommended the construction of the bypasses and flyover to ease five major bottlenecks on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway.
