New Delhi, May 3 -- Indian IT services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a strategic partnership with cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike on Friday to enhance enterprise cybersecurity.

CrowdStrike plans to enhance TCS' extended managed detection and response (XMDR) services with the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform, the company said.

With this collaboration, the IT major aims to utilise the unified protection of the Falcon platform, integrating cloud security and next-gen SIEM. The result is expected to be a significant AI-powered Security Operations Centre (SOC) transformation capable of preventing breaches effectively.

The increasing sophistication and speed of current cyber-attacks require organisations to invest in security protection with a specific focus on preventing breaches. With cloud intrusions increasing by 75% in the past year and breakout times now measured in minutes, managed security solutions have become essential for customers to protect their critical assets and securely execute digital transformation initiatives.

This partnership news comes amid reports that CrowdStrike's corporate clients have seen significant declines in their revenue and costs. In Q4, CrowdStrike reported a 5.87% decrease in its corporate clients' costs of revenue compared to the previous year. Sequentially, these costs were reduced by 4.97%. During the same period, CrowdStrike recorded a 32.41% yearly increase in revenue and a sequential growth of 7.6%.

Meanwhile, for the fourth quarter of FY24, TCS reported a net profit of Rs.12,434 crore, up 9.1% year-on-year (YoY). Sequentially, profit after tax grew 6% from Rs.11,735 crore. Revenue for the quarter was up 3.5% YoY at Rs.61,237 crore. On a sequential basis, it was up 1%.

Last month, TCS entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its customers' cloud transformation journey at scale. This strategic transformation agreement with AWS will enable TCS to facilitate full-stack digital transformation of its customers by leveraging data and generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on AWS.

Through this multi-year partnership, TCS will provide its customers with tools to create modern architectures, deliver business value using state-of-the-art cloud-native capabilities, and drive modernisation at scale.
