Cuttack, March 4 -- While the Orissa High Court today annulled the election of Mohammed Moquim as Cuttack-Barabati MLA, the Congress leader said he will contest the upcoming assembly polls from the same constituency.

"I will examine the verdict of the High Court and challenge it, if needed. The decision of the court will not impact the fact that I will contest the 2024 assembly elections from Cuttack-Barabati seat. I am always with the people of the constituency," he said.

I had furnished correct affidavits for the 2019 polls, he added.

Notably, the High Court's move came while hearing a petition filed by BJD leader Debashish Samantaray, who had challenged the election of Moquim alleging that the MLA suppressed facts with respect to th...
