Sambalpur, April 29 -- A day after Congress changed its MP candidate for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat in Odisha, Dulal Chandra Pradhan, who was dropped from the list, quit the party with immediate effect.

Pradhan, who served the Congress for last 33 years at state and district level, resigned from all posts and primary membership of the Congress party after being replaced with Nagendra Pradhan.

The ex-candidate tendered his resignation letter to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge citing that he can never compromise on the future of Sambalpur.

"The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Sambalpur's future and the agenda for the welfare of Sambalpur," Pradhan wrote in his resignation letter, ...
