Baripada, April 29 -- A major fire broke out at Bank of India's Zonal Office here in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district, today.

As per reports, the fire originated from the canteen located on the third floor of the bank and quickly spread to other parts of the building. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial suspicions point to a possible LPG cylinder leak.

At the time of the incident, several employees and customers were inside the bank. Three persons, including a woman employee, were trapped during the fire outbreak. They were later rescued.

On being informed about the mishap, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and initiated efforts to douse the flames.
