India, May 1 -- Shares of Viking Holdings (VIK) gained more than 8 percent on Wednesday following the company's debut on the New York Stock Exchange.

VIK closed Wednesday's regular trading at $26.10, up $2.10 or 8.75%. In the after-hours trading the stock further gained $0.05 or 0.19%.

The cruise operator Viking Holdings announced the pricing of its upsized initial public offering of an aggregate of about 64.04 million ordinary shares at a public offering price of $24.00 per share, within its previously expected range of $21.00 - $25.00 per share.
