India, May 1 -- Following the sell-off seen over the course of the previous session, stocks are turning in a relatively lackluster performance during trading on Wednesday. The major averages have spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line.
Currently, the major averages are turning in a mixed performance. While the Dow is up 118.01 points or 0.3 percent at 37,933.93, the Nasdaq is down 17.85 points or 0.1 percent at 15,639.97 and the S&P 500 is down 6.74 points or 0.1 percent at 5,028.95.
The choppy trading on Wall Street comes as traders seem reluctant to make significant moves ahead of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy announcement this afternoon.
