Kolkata, May 4 -- Trinamool Congress MP and Bengali superstar Dev alias Dipak Adhikari had on Friday a narrow escape when the helicopter that he was travelling in suddenly developed snags and smoke started coming out of it mid-air.
Dev who was campaigning for his party had gone to Ratua in Malda from where he was flying to Raninagar in Murshidabad district. "The flight had soared up barely 5-10 minutes when smoke started coming out of it and the ATC was informed immediately and the pilot managed to get it land at Malda Airport from where Dev took a car to go to his destination," TMC sources said.
