New Delhi, April 25 -- Extending beyond the world of K-Drama and K-Beauty, Indian youth interest towards Korean culture is expanding to also include learning the Korean language and Taekwondo, a great tradition of Korean martial arts.

Data reflects this growing enthusiasm towards these two streams. The demand for learning Taekwondo can be felt by comparing last year's student enrollment for Taekwondo classes which has doubled this year. In 2023, there were 1,530 students enrolled in 31 schools, which has reached to 3,536 students enrolled in 47 local schools of Delhi this year, according to a statement by the Korean Cultural Centre of India (KCCI) which had partnered with local associations like the Delhi Taekwondo Association.
