BHUBANESWAR, March 19 -- Members of the Kalinga Sanskritika Sansada (KSS), Guwahati, convened a meeting which was joined by Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, and former Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, to discuss initiatives for the promotion of Odia language and culture in Assam and North East region.
Secretary of KSS Manoranjan Dash and Lord Jagannath Temple Trust, Guwahati, appealed for support in constructing a Jagannath Temple cum Educational and Vedic Cultural Centre, emphasizing its role in providing accommodation and promoting spiritual discourses and Vedic culture. The estimated cost of the center is Rs 15 crore.
