Jamshedpur, Feb. 13 -- In adherence to the directives of the state government, an extensive filariasis eradication campaign has been underway in the district from February 10th to February 25th. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and Deputy Development Commissioner have fervently appealed to all residents to actively participate by taking the prescribed medication of DEC and Albendazole.
As of the latest update, a commendable 3,93,663 individuals have already received the preventive medicine, marking a significant stride towards the campaign's overall goal. The initiative involves a door-to-door distribution of medications, administered by health workers across all blocks in the district.
