Mumbai, March 12 -- In an effort to determine eligibility criteria for beneficiaries under the proposed Dharavi re-development project, the joint venture between the Maharashtra government and the Adani Group set up to implement the project will begin a survey to collect data from lakhs of informal tenement residents of Asia's largest slum, Dharavi, from March 18, 2024.

Apart from providing data for taking the ambitious project forward, the joint venture M/s Dharavi Redevelopment Project Pvt Ltd (DRPPL) will create, for the first time ever, a 'Digital Dharavi,' an advanced library of one of the world's largest informal settlements.
