India, March 30 -- Amidst rapidly evolving technologies to stay globally competitive, the labour-intensive manufacturing sector has a significant opportunity to address the complex issue of unemployment in the country. The manufacturing sector has the potential to accommodate seven to eight million youths entering the labour force annually, as per the 'India Employment Report 2024', recently released by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Institute for Human Development (IHD).
