Chandigarh, May 1 -- As all the major political parties -- Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) have fielded members of the Jat Community as their candidates in Hisar Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency, the non- jat votes are likely to shape the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections this time.

In the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency, Jats comprise about 33 percent of the voters, and a member of the community has been elected MP on eight occasions.
