Bhubaneswar, May 4 -- Duplicate or pirated books worth over Rs 10 lakh were seized from a bookstore in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

As per reports, some students lodged a complaint with the NCERT regarding the sale of duplicate NCERT books in place of original ones. Acting on the complaints, officials of the NCERT in the presence of a team of Commissionerate Police conducted raids at Subham Book Store near Ravi Talkies Square in Bhubaneswar and seized duplicate books. Later, some other bookstores were also raided.

The NCERT said that these duplicate books were procured from Kolkata.
