Bhubaneswar, May 9 -- Nor'wester triggered rain has brought the much needed relief from the blistering heat and humid conditions in several parts of Odisha for the last two days.

As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the situation is likely to continue for the next four to five days across the State.

The Regional Meteorological Center, Bhubaneswar has issued alert for Nor'wester triggered thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind for five districts in Odisha today. These districts are Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, Bhadrak and Jajpur.

IMD has further predicted that some parts of coastal Odisha along with Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will also witness Nor'wester triggered rainfall during the period.
