AGARTALA, April 8 -- Tripura chief minister Manik Saha announced that the central government has allocated a sum of Rs 100 crore for surrendered militants of the Nationalist Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), a proscribed group known for operating in hilly regions of Bangladesh.

Saha explained during a public gathering in Gabordi, West Tripura district, that the central government has approved this allocation under the Special Economic Development Package for Indigenous People of Tripura, aimed at facilitating the integration of former NLFT members into society and away from violence.
