SHILLONG, March 7 -- In a significant move towards bolstering the healthcare sector in Meghalaya, chief minister Conrad Sangma presided over the induction ceremony of 425 newly appointed junior specialists, medical officers and dental surgeons.

The event, held at the state convention centre in Shillong, was attended by Meghalaya health minister Ampareen Lyngdoh and PHE minister Marcuise N Marak, among other dignitaries.

During the ceremony, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly inducted medical professionals and emphasized the importance of their role in serving society.
