Shillong, April 29 -- Meghalaya Deputy ChiefMinister,PrestoneTynsong,has urgedfor an end torecent violence and called for discussions to address underlying issues.

The NPP-led MDA government made this statement following a series of petrol bomb attacks in Shillong.

"Creating disturbances will not solve problems," stated Tynsong, who also holds the Home portfolio.

He added, "We appeal to people not to resort to violence. We are ready to meet with any disgruntled groups or individuals to discuss their concerns."

The Deputy Chief Minister said that investigations were ongoing into the recent attacks.

"We have instructed the Director General of Police to investigate these incidents thoroughly. We will find the culprits," he asserted.
