Srinagar, Feb. 9 -- Sub-zero temperatures persisted in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, with Srinagar registering a low of -4.8degC.

According to a meteorological department, although Srinagar's temperature was slightly higher than the previous night's -5.2degC, it remained 4.4degC below normal for this time of the year.

Qazigund maintained a minimum of -6.4degC, consistent with the previous night, while Pahalgam recorded -10.3degC, slightly higher than the previous night's -11.9degC.

Kokernag saw a minimum of -5.0degC, lower than the previous night's -4.5degC, and Kupwara recorded -4.9degC, 2.9degC below normal.
