Srinagar, April 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone slammed National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah for contesting Lok Sabha polls from Baramulla constituency, calling him a "tourist".

Lone while speaking to media persons in Baramulla expressed disappointment that a Kashmiri was not chosen to contest the election, but a non-local.

He asserted his party is ready to compete in the upcoming elections. "I was expecting a Kashmiri political leader to contest elections from Baramulla and nota tourist. We are tourist-friendly people, and let him fight elections there," he said while referring to Omar Abdullah.
