Hyderabad, April 30 -- Hyderabad DCC President & Congress candidate from Hyderabad constituency Mohammed Waliullah Sameer announced that the Congress Government in Telangana will pursue UNESCO World Heritage City status for Hyderabad if it secures victory in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media after a door-to-door campaign in the Gosha Mahal Assembly constituency on Tuesday, Sameer criticised the divisive and communal politics of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that their tactics had tarnished Hyderabad's image.
