Mumbai, Feb. 14 -- Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met Maharashtra's former deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar here on Wednesday afternoon, thus triggering intense speculation about the possibility of the MNS being included in the "mahaghatbandhan" in the State.

A day after Pawar made a strong case for MNS' inclusion in the "mahaghatbandhan" to ensure against the division of Opposition votes in the Lok Sabha polls in the State, Raj met Ajitdada - as junior Pawar is known in the State - secretly at the Mumbai residence of the latter's friend Vivek Jadhav.

The meeting, which had been under wraps but became known late in the evening, lasted for ninety minutes.
