Patna, July 13 -- Former chief minister late Satyendra Narayan Sinha, affectionately called as Chhote Saheb, was a statesman firmly believing in democratic values. He represented the generation in which politicians stood in opposition only on principles and never due to personal reasons, said the speaker of the state assembly Vijay Kumar Choudhary here on Wednesday.

Speaking as the chief guest at a function organised by AN College to mark the birth centenary of Sinha, who not only actively participated in the freedom movement but also played a pivotal role in development of the state, Choudhary said, Sinha was deeply involved with the educational progress and did his best for the cause.
