Chandigarh, Feb. 7 -- The third international conference on Sarasvati river will be organised by Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, in collaboration with Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board, Panchkula (Haryana), on February 8 and 9. The aim is to revisit the Indian civilisation which developed around Sarasvati river, said Prof Anju Suri, chairperson, department of history, PU. The historical literature along with archaeological, scientific studies and techniques help in reviving Sarasvati river, which originated in Himalaya and passed through Haryana, Rajasthan, Sindh, and Bhawalpur before descending in Rann of Kutch.
