Kathmandu, Feb. 14 -- Around two dozen adventure lovers took part in ice climbing festival in the Himalayan district Manang for the first time in Nepal.

Twenty international and domestic participants climbed a snow covered cliff during the heavy snowfall this week at Humde, located at an elevation of 3,200 metres in the central Himalaya.

A total of 2o participants from US, China, India and Nepal climbed the frozen waterfall on the Annapurna region.

The Nepal Climbing team organised the festival in a bid to promote winter tourism from February 4. The festival was concluded by organising a programme in Kathmandu.
