Three bookies held for online IPL betting

Muzaffarnagar, May 23 -- Three people, allegedly engaged in online betting of IPL matches, were arrested in a joint operation of the intelligence wing and the Kotwali police here. Police recovered six mobile phones, a laptop, fake identity cards and Rs 13,000 from their possession. SP city Rajesh Kumar Singh said the police came to know about them on Sunday.

Betting racket busted, 9 held

NEW DELHI, May 23 -- Nine men have been arrested for running a betting racket from a room at a five-star hotel during the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament.
