Street dogs foil burglary attempt

Lucknow, May 23 -- A group of alert street dogs foiled a robbery attempt in the house of Dr Vishakha Shukla, a resident of sector 14, Indira Nagar on Sunday night, when she was out for a movie.

According to reports, two burglars tried to enter the house of Dr Vishakha by breaking the lock of the gate.

Lucknow, May 23 -- The special task force carried out raids in Thane and Pune districts in Maharashtra in connection with the multicrore petrol pump scam in Uttar Pradesh and arrested two persons.

Muzaffarnagar, May 23 -- Three people, allegedly engaged in online betting of IPL matches, were arrested in a joint operation of the intelligence wing and the Kotwali police here.
