India, March 18 -- Former Chhattisgarh CM and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said the case filed against him in the Mahadev Online Book app scam was politically motivated and done at the behest of the BJP. HT reported on Sunday that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the state police filed a case against Baghel under various sections pertaining to cheating, criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, and forgery under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and Sections 7 and 11 of the Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the alleged Rs.6,000 crore scam. "The FIR against me was lodged on March 4 by EOW then why was it not published on the EOW website till now? My name was later added under pressure.
