PANJIM, April 28 -- At the end of the 5th Round of the Unity Club aRating Chess Tournament 2024, FM Ethan Vaz (2268) awitating Sharsha Backer (1977) and Aayush Shirodkar(1720) in the 4th round. The 5th round saw upset loss of the top seed GM Venkatesh M R (2397), PSPB by Arpith Bijoy (2087) of Kerala.
In another upset in the 4th round, Vivaan Ballikar outwitted GM Roy Chowdhury Saptarshi (2358) of Railways. IM Sammed Shetye lost to FM Apoorv Kamble in the 4th round, while IM Nitish Belurkar (2265) of Goa got the better of Statemate Mandar Lad.
IM Audi Ameya (2208) lost to FM Saurabh Khherdekar(1917) of Maharashtra. FM Joydeep Dutta of West Bengal got the better of Vishwesh Kochrekar(1794) of Maharashtra. IM Ritviz Parab of Goa beat AGM Pr...
