Dar es Salaam, April 4 -- TANZANIA: PUMP prices of petroleum products for various towns, districts, and regions in the country have increased this month on account of high world oil prices.

This was revealed by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) through the Cap Prices report published on Wednesday.

The changes in petroleum prices are attributed to the increase in world oil prices by an average of 3.94 per cent for premium motor spirit and 2.34 per cent for automotive gas oil.

Also, the changes are attributed to an increase in the exchange rate by 3.19 per cent due to the use of the Euro for the payment of imported petroleum products.
