Sri Lanka, May 8 -- No other election will be held except for the Presidential Election this year, according to the Constitution, Chief Government Whip, Housing and Urban Development Minister Prasanna Ranathunga said in Parliament yesterday.
The Minister also said that the Opposition demanding the government to hold the Local Government elections, is engaged in presenting a wrong opinion to the country about the development activities initiated by the government at this moment. He said this in reply to a question raised by MP Dayasiri Jayasekara.
