Mumbai, April 1 -- China's manufacturing sector saw continued expansion in March, with the Caixin China General Manufacturing PMI rising to 51.1 from 50.9 in February. This marks the fifth consecutive month of growth and the fastest pace since February 2023. The increase was driven by higher new orders, both domestic and abroad, with foreign sales rising the most in a year. Despite the growth, employment declined as firms remained cautious about hiring to control costs. Input prices fell marginally, the first decrease since July, leading firms to cut selling prices in efforts to stimulate demand.
