Srinagar, March 31 -- Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, Police along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) on Saturday conducted flag marches in several districts of Kashmir.
The main objective behind this flag marches is to instill a sense of security and harmony in the society and to ensure free, fair and fear free election, police said.
The flag marches was carried out in Baramulla, Ganderbal, Shopian and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir and led by senior officers of Police and CAPF.
"Baramulla Police carried out flag marches in the district along with CAPF in view of upcoming Lok Sabha election to instill a sense of security and harmony in the society and to ensure free fair and fear free elections," a police statement said.
