India, March 30 -- After a tense race against Oliver Rowland, Maximilian Guenther of the Maserati MSG team won the first-ever Tokyo E-Prix. This was Guenther's first Formula E victory of the season. With clever management of his energy reserves, Rowland had a commanding lead for most of the race on a track recognised for its difficult passing possibilities. Although Edoardo Mortara's Mahindra started the race in third place, Guenther was able to gain his position with the help of his second attack mode boost.
