Jakarta, May 5 -- Indonesia's Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the Coordinating Economic Ministry has initiated a review of how the principles of good governance are implemented in the placement and protection of Indonesian migrant workers.

"We hope this endeavor will strengthen the government's role in guaranteeing every citizen to get right to work abroad for their welfare," he said .

He made the statement in his remarks during a virtual Eid al-Fitr gathering with Indonesian migrant workers in Singapore and 12 other countries, as quoted from the official statement from the Vice Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau, on Sunday.
