Jakarta, April 25 -- Indonesia's National Narcotics Agency (BNN) on Thursday destroyed over 9 kilograms of drugs, including 6.3 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

The drugs, seized from seven suspects in March, were burned in an incinerator in the presence of BNN's principal secretary, Tantan Sulistyana.

The crystal meth was delivered in a package that arrived via mail from the United States to AS, a resident of North Jakarta, according to BNN enforcement deputy Aldrin Hutabarat.

The drug trafficking operation also involved another local resident, identified as DS. According to the suspect, Indonesia was a transit destination for the drug package, which was intended to be smuggled to Australia.
